Ecotech's Waste Disposal Guidelines 

Ecotech KY, LLC has provided each home with two 95-gallon waste bins.

One bin is for trash, and the bin with a yellow lid for recycling.

 

Collection schedule for all services will be Monday:

  • Trash pickup will be weekly. Labor Day week, service(s) will be performed on Tuesday.

  • Recycling and Yard Waste services is bi-weekly.

  • Yard Waste service period will be April 1st to November 15th.

  • One large item per month per address.

Garbage:

  • Set your bin(s) at the curb by 6 AM on collection day. Bins should be within 2 feet of the curb with the handle and wheels facing away from the street.

  • Do not place bins near mailboxes or cars.

  • Federal Law forbids all Waste Disposal companies from accepting batteries, tires, liquids, dead animals, combustible materials, and/or hazardous waste.

  • Do Not dispose any type of florescent bulbs and/or lithium batteries in your garbage.

  • Bulky materials including drywall, carpet, lumber, concrete, bricks, dirt or rocks are not acceptable.

  • Furniture, Appliances, etc.

  • Kentucky Public Safety and Heath regulations require all upholstered furniture and mattresses to be wrapped completely in plastic.

  • Appliances containing refrigerants require special handling, please contact Ecotech for details.

Recycling Bin items:

  • Plastic bottles & jugs

  • Glass bottles and jars

  • Aluminum and steel can & lids

  • Paperboard (ie: cereal, pasta, and cake mix boxes)

  • Cardboard

  • Office paper, envelopes, and junk mail

  • Newspapers, magazines, and inserts

  • Telephone books and catalogs

  • Cartons broken down

  • If you have recyclable items, which exceed the size or amount your bin, please call Ecotech to request and schedule a large item pickup.

Yard Waste:

  • Filled Paper Yard Waste bags. (No Plastic Lawn or Trash/Garbage Bags )

  • Marked Yard waste carts filled to the top lip of the container.

  • Branches-bundles: 50 pounds or less in weight, and not over 4 feet long, with no branches over 4 inches in diameter.

 

Important note: All service contractors are responsible for the removal of their work's debris.
